With the growing attention for plastic soup, our outreach grows. With not too much experience we got quite of lot of media attention since 2016. An important step in professionalizing our foundation is learning how to deal with the media even better.
With a donation of 1250 euro our two main spokespersons, Thomas and Karl, can undergo professional media training.
With an annual donation of 300 euro we can benefit from all the advantages of the Fondsenwervingonline platform, potentially generating structural funding.
We are very proud of our website, built voluntarily by Bob de Graaf (from Bobwashere), Jeroen Dekkers (from Webbakery) and our own volunteer Karl. The only thing we haven’t put effort in form the beginning, due to priorities, is the SEO (Search Engine Optimalization). Finding us on the web can be quite hard. Improving the SEO is important to spread the message of plastic pollution to a wider audience and increase publicity for our work – but is a time consuming job.
With a donation of 300 euro (5 hours – 60 euro p/hour) we can hire a professional to get us up there in the search results.
We are very proud of our website, built voluntarily by Bob de Graaf (from Bobwashere), Jeroen Dekkers (from Webbakery) and our own volunteer Karl. One of the things we haven’t put effort in from the beginning, due to priorities, is the mobile version of the site. With over 35% of traffic to our site coming from mobile phones and tablets, improving the mobile site is important to spread the message of plastic pollution to a wider audience and increase publicity for our work – but is a time consuming job.
With a donation of 595 euro (8,5 hours – 70 euro p/hour) we can hire a professional to make our site responsive for mobile and tablet.

Like in 2017 we are again invited to attend the World Ocean Summit, possibly the most important global event to speed up the protection of the oceans. Participating in the event will help building our network, gaining more insight in the current status of actions and spreading the word on our work at high level.
We do realize that flying to Mexico and back for a three days event is basically insane. So that add value we will make a short documentary, together with Avalanche Films, about what happens at a summit like this. So that everyone can ‘join’ the event a bit and it doesn’t stay an exclusive grey suit event.
So, how can you help? The entry to the event is secured, the travel expenses aren’t. With a donation of 1000 euro you make it possible for us to attend the event with our founder Thomas, our research coordinator Nanne, filmmaker Sander and filming assistant Frankatest
Although we are very proud of our website, built voluntarily by Bob de Graaf (from Bobwashere), Jeroen Dekkers (from Webbakery) and our own volunteer Karl, the SEO (Search Engine Optimalization) is actually still very bad. Finding us on the web is quite hard. Improving the SEO is important to spread the message of plastic pollution to a wider audience and , but is a huge, time consuming job.
